ZumoDrive Lands $1.5 Million for Cloud Media Storage

Burlingame, Calif. - ZumoDrive, a developer of cloud-based media storage and online file syncing technology, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $1.5 million, led by Sherpalo Ventures.

Previous backers Tandem Entrepreneurs, and Verifone CEO Douglas Bergeron also participated.

Founded in 2007, Burlingame, Calif.-based ZumoDrive lets users access their home computer content -- including music, photos, videos and documents -- on any mobile device.

The company will use the new funds to invest in product development, as well as to build new distribution channel relationships.
