Chicago
- Appolicious, the provider of an online directory for applications for Apple's
iPhone and iPod touch, has raised $2 million in new funding from Apex Partners
and Performics founder James Crouthamel, TechCrunch reported.
Founded earlier this year, Chicago-based Appolicious automatically scans a user's iTunes to determine which apps have been installed, then allows users to write reviews, and share that data with friends on social networks including Facebook and Twitter. The company told TechCrunch it hopes to expand beyond the iPhone to platforms including Android and BlackBerry.
