Hollywood
- Katalyst, the digital media production studio co-founded by actor Ashton
Kutcher, announced on Thursday that it has partnered with sponsor HP (NYSE: HPQ) to make
previously unaired episodes of the TV drama "The Beautiful Life"
available on YouTube (NASD: GOOG).
The first two episodes of the series, which features young models living together in New York City, originally aired on the CW. HP's sponsorship of the now-YouTube-based series comes through its Create Change program, which allows HP customers to donate 4% of their purchases to one of seven charities. HP asked stars of The Beautiful Life, who include Mischa Barton, Sara Paxton and Elle Macpherson, to participate in the program by recording videos about how they'll create positive change in 2010. All five episodes of "The Beautiful Life" will remain on YouTube for six months.
