- Exponential Entertainment, a developer of movie-focused online social games,
has raised $700,000 in new funding from angel investors including Band of
Angeles, VentureBeat reported.
The company also secured $1 million in convertible debt, and told VentureBeat that it aims to raise a total of $3.25 million. Founded in 2008 by the creators of the DVD-based game "ScentIt," Seattle-based Exponential develops Hollywood trivia games for its own website, Facebook and other social media sites. The company's eight titles currently count 20,000 monthly users.
