bolster its strong sports content business, Yahoo (NASD: YHOO) is expected to acquire
Citizen Sports, a developer of sports apps and games for the iPhone and Facebook
platforms, AllThingsD reported, citing several unnamed sources.
The blog pegged the purchase price at upwards of $50 million. Officials from both companies have declined to comment. Founded in 2005 as ProTrade, San Francisco-based Citizen Sports is the developer of the popular Sportacular iPhone app, as well as several other fantasy sports games and Facebook apps.
