– Inform Technologies, a developer of semantic search technology for
publishers, announced on Monday that it has raised $4 million in its first
round of venture capital funding.

The round was led by existing investors Spark
Capital, The Stephens Group and The Oklahoma Publishing Company.

New York-based
Inform’s technology automatically sources contextually relevant articles,
images and videos from a publisher’s archive or from across the Web.

Customers
include the websites of CNN, NBC and CBS Interactive.
