Mountain View, Calif. – Google (NASD: GOOG) has hired attorney Elizabeth
Moody, formerly a music licensing specialist with the law firm Davis Shapiro
Lewit & Hayes, to head up licensing negotiations for the company’s planned
music service, TechCrunch reported.

Moody’s previous employer counted MySpace
Music, Spotify, MOG and imeem among its clients.

Google launched a music search
feature last year that provided links to streaming songs from a range of
services, and in May announced plans for a mobile music service for its Android
platform.
