San Antonio, Texas - Clear Channel Radio’s head of digital, Evan Harrison, will leave the company at the end of 2010 after six years at the company, Billboard reported.

Harrison, whose title is executive vice president of online music and radio at Clear Channel, is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

"Our digital team has made significant inroads in successfully building out the digital capabilities of our local brands with the positive consumer acceptance of iheartradio.com reaching 10 million unique person downloads this year," Clear Channel CEO John Hogan wrote in a memo to employees.

"Additionally, each month 25 to 30 million highly engaged individuals visit our digital properties, where we offer advertisers truly integrated campaigns that include on-air, online, mobile and talent endorsements."

  • This was the worst leader I’ve ever seen. One person said he has all the neurosis of Napoleon but none of the brilliance. His primary motivation seems to be this cool music dude. Unfortunately, that led him to make awful decisions that cost the company millions. It was never OK to even appear like you were questioning anything he said; you would be ridiculed, threatened and yelled at if you tried it. So Evan just had a bunch of overpaid, underqualified silly “yes” men. Amazing that CC put up with him longer than six months.
