San Bruno, Calif. – Google’s (NASD: GOOG) YouTube has acquired Next New
Networks, a producer of original Web video programming, for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 2007, Next New Networks has attracted more than 2 billion views and
an audience of 6 million subscribers across its networks of channels and shows.

"Within YouTube, Next New Networks will be a laboratory for
experimentation and innovation with the team working in a hands on way with a
wide variety of content partners and emerging talent to help them succeed on
YouTube," the company said in a blog post.

New York-based Next New
Networks raised a total of more than $27 million in venture funding, from
backers including Spark Capital, Goldman Sachs, Saban Media Group, Pilot Group
and Fuse Capital.
