New York — After Google+ banned hacker group Anonymous due to a violation of its community standards, the infamous group announced its intention to develop its own social networking site called AnonPlus (pun obviously intended).

Although specific details haven’t been released, Anonymous has posted a splash page that contains a message to those who want more information.

Welcoming its visitors to “the Revolution,” the group claims their social network will be a place where there is no censorship and users won’t have to fear about “holding back” their information or opinions.

“This is the sad fact of what happens across the internet when you walk to a different beat of the drum”, the group said on its Tumblr blog.

“We’ve all heard the stories of activists being banned from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and governments blocking their people from these sites as well through organized black outs,” the authorless blog post reads. “That day has came to an end.”
