Photo: Flickr/AMagillActon, Mass. — Azuki Systems, an Acton, Mass.-based developer of video delivery technology, has raised $5.1 million in a round of venture capital, according to a new filing by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Founded in 2008, Azuki provides technology that delivers content to any device over a network, allowing content owners, enterprises and service providers to capitalize on the growth of smartphones, tablets and multiple screens.

Azuki recently announced that  Showtime Networks Inc. selected its Azuki Media Platform to power the Showtime Anytime authentication service on the iPad, giving Showtime subscribers instant and secure access to all Showtime programming on their iPads.
