Cupertino, Calif. – Apple plans to build a new $304 million campus in Austin, Texas expected to create 3,600 new jobs, Texas Gov. Rick Perry announced on Friday.

The project will more than double the size of Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple’s workforce in the state over the next decade, expanding its customer support, sales and accounting functions for the region.

Apple, in exchange, will receive a $21 million investment over the next 10 years from the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF).
