Herndon, Va. – SkyBitz, a developer of satellite tracking tools, is once again providing real-time tracking of the Capitol Christmas Tree on its 5,000-mile journey from Colorado’s White River National Forest to Washington, DC.

The company’s special site, TracktheTree.com, provides tracking data, complete with a detailed street-level map of the tree’s current location.

It also includes photo galleries from the tree cutting ceremony and caravan, blog entries, facts about many of the tree’s tour stops and opportunities to interact with other tree followers on Facebook and Twitter.

The tree began traveling on Tuesday, and it is expected to arrive in DC on Nov. 26, making stops in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania.

The tree lighting ceremony, hosted by Speaker of the House John Boehner, will be held in early December.
