Hulu removes the ads for new Hulu Kids section
/ November 8, 2012 11:16 am

Hulu has taken the the wraps off of Hulu Kids, a special section of Hulu Plus that highlights content designed for the youngest age groups and puts it together in a kid-friendly collection without any commercials.

The selection ranges from Thomas & Friends, Caillou and SpongeBob SquarePants to tween favorites like iCarly and Big Time Rush, and it includes current season hits from Nickelodeon along with library shows from PBS and Lionsgate.

Hulu Kids has categories, selection grids and scrollable lists, just like its more mature parent, and a “Shows You Watch” tray for quick navigation to favorites. Other family-friendly shows are of course still available elsewhere in the Hulu Plus  paid subscription service, but programs and movies not part of Hulu Kids have ads.

Hulu also announced it has updated its PlayStation 3 offering, and that the PS3’s Blu-ray remote is compatible with the Hulu Plus app as well.
