Santa Clara, Calif. – Citrix, the Santa Clara-based developer of cloud, collaboration, networking and virtualization technologies, said on Wednesday it will acquire Redwood City-based Zenprise, a developer of mobile device management technology.
Financial terms of the deal, expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year, were not disclosed. But for a sense of scale, Zenprise last November raised $30 million in a round of funding led by Greylock Partners.
Citrix said it plans to integrate Zenprise’s mobile device management product with its own CloudGateway and Me@Work tools for managing mobile apps and data.
Founded in 2003, Zenprise offers technology for mobile devices designed to protect sensitive corporate data, shield networks from mobile threats and maintain compliance with regulatory and corporate policies.
