Rockville, Md. – Appfluent Technology, a Rockville-based developer of software designed to help large organizations manage massive amounts of stored data, said on Tuesday it has raised $4.4 million in a new round of funding, led by Bethesda-based Novak Biddle Venture Partners (NBVP).
The company’s software is designed to monitor and analyze business activity and data usage, helping IT departments reduce data warehousing costs, improve operational efficiency and optimize performance.
“This growth capital allows the company to accelerate its momentum in helping big data get smarter usage delivering lower costs of data management,” said PV Boccasam, the company’s lead director and a general partner with Novak Biddle.
Appfluent also raised $4.1 million in a round led by Updata Partners in 2005.
