Here’s an interesting article on the rise of Crowdfunding in 2012 led by Kickstarter. The article points out that while the popularity of crowdfunding is on the rise, the majority of projects on Kickstarter do not meet their goals. “Eleven-percent of projects never received any funding and 34% garnered less than 20%. But 17 projects out of over 81,000 earned more than a million.
