ntureBeat about Pebble, the company that raised $10 Million on Kickstarter to create smartwatches. After facing several months of delays, the company finally debuted its smartwatch at CES this morning. VentureBeat’s Devindra Hardawar provides a review of the product and interviews Pebble’s lead engineer Eric Migicovsky, who announced that the $150 Pebble smartwatches will begin shipping to 85,000 Kickstarter backers on January 23. The smartwatch connects to Android 2.3.3 smartphones or iOS 5 devices and provides information like caller data, e-mails, calendar entries, and Facebook updates in addition to showing the time. It also allows users to customize the smartwatch’s face and install apps.
