Reuters reports that Pervasive Software Inc. has agreed to be acquired by Actian in a deal worth $161.9 million. Actian, the California-based app builder and provider of  data management solutions, will offer $9.20 in cash to Pervasive shareholders for each Pervasive share.  Pervasive Chief Executive John Farr was quoted saying “We believe the two companies’ complementary product portfolios, track record of technological innovation and well-established customer bases provide a platform for compelling synergies.” Read more
