Nokia Growth Partners, the investment arm of mobile handset maker Nokia, with North American offices in Sunnyvale, said on Wednesday it has led a new $14 million round of funding for Verve Mobile, the developer of a location-based mobile ad platform. New investor Qualcomm Ventures and previous backer BlueRun Ventures also took part in the company’s third round, which it plans to use to further develop its advertising and publishing products, as well as bolster its marketing and sales activities.
