Aviary, the company that offers completely customizable SDKs for applications trying to incorporate photo editing, has announced the launch of its Windows 8 SDK in co-operation with AMD and Microsoft. As a result, apps for Windows 8 PCs and tablets running AMD processors can begin including photo editing right away. AMD took part in Aviary’s previous funding round, which also included Spark and Bezos Expeditions. Together with Windows 8, Aviary’s SDK is available for iOS, Android, Windows Phone 7 and HTML5. Its launch partners for Windows 8 include Rowi, Memorylage, Vol8t by Volevi, MyFrames, Photo Annotater and Selektiv.  Read more
