Amazon Acquires Double Helix Games

doublehelixgamesTechCrunch reports that Amazon has acquired Double Helix Games, a game studio based in Irvine, CA. The financial terms of acquisition were not disclosed. Double Helix Games has 75 employees who will join Amazon. A spokesperson from the company said, “Amazon has acquired Double Helix as part of our ongoing commitment to build innovative games for customers.” The acquisition boosts rumors that Amazon is likely to introduce its gaming console in the coming months.  Over the past twenty years, Double Helix has introduced many popular PC and console games in the market, such as “Killer Instinct”,  “Green Latern: Rise of the Manhunters,” and “G.I.
