WSJ: Yahoo to Make Push Into Original Programming

Following the lead of companies like Netflix and Amazon, Yahoo plans to begin producing original programming, and already is in talks to potentially order four web series, The Wall Street Journal reported. The publications, citing people familiar with the matter, said the company is most interested in 10-episode, half-hour comedies with budgets up to several million dollars per episode. Marathon Patent Group Sues Five Tech Giants

Marathon Patent Group, an Alexandria-based patent licensing firm, said its subsidiary, Sampo IP, has filed patent infringement lawsuits against Facebook, Intuit, Amazon, LinkedIn and eBay. The suits, all filed in the U.S. District Court of Delaware, allege that the tech giants are infringing on patents related to communications systems and methods.
