Eventbrite handled ticket sales, venue check-ins and social media promotion for the Vans Warped Tour show July 3, and now has numbers to indicate how successful the collaboration was.

Even though the tour has been an annual event since 1995, the show at California’s Ventura County Fairgrounds show sold over 60 percent more pre-sale tickets online than last year. Additionally, 81 percent of tickets purchased through a link generated through Eventbrite’s efforts went to customers who had never previously attended the Vans Warped Tour.

“Our sales were up; check-in with Eventbrite’s on-site operations team kept the crowd moving through the gates quickly; and the data that Eventbrite was able to provide offered far more insight into our attendees than any ticketing platform we’ve used before,” said Warped Tour creator Kevin Lyman.

Eventbrite reports that each time a customer shares information about a concert through social media channels built into its ticketing tools, it drives on average an additional $12 in ticket sales.
