– Jupiter Communications is set to become the first Japanese broadcaster to
offer simultaneous live streaming of some of its programming, Variety reported,
citing the local Nikkei newspaper. The J:Com service will offer live and
archived streaing of sports, news and other programming beginning in April. The
company also plans to shrink the window on streaming new films from six months
to three months after their theatrical release.
