Cambridge, Mass. - Viximo, the provider of a virtual goods platform for social networking, dating and games sites, has raised $5 million in new financing from investors including North Bridge Venture Partners and Sigma Partners, Virtual Goods News reported.

Cambridge, Mass.-based Viximo is focusing on a new strategy of providing content for partners to sell, and has assembled a network of 3,000 virtual goods creators that has to date produced 1,500 items.

Founded in 2005, Westford, Mass.-based Aylus' technology allows wireless subscribers to share multimedia files during voice conversations.
