Mass. - Viximo, the provider of a
virtual goods platform for social networking, dating and games sites, has raised
$5 million in new financing from investors including North Bridge Venture
Partners and Sigma Partners, Virtual Goods News reported.
Cambridge,
Mass.-based Viximo is focusing on a new strategy of providing content for
partners to sell, and has assembled a network of 3,000 virtual goods creators
that has to date produced 1,500 items.
Viximo has also reportedly teamed with a
talent agency to work on virtual items for celebrities.

stealth mode, Verivue said that it officially has launched operations by
releasing its first media storage and delivery system for telecoms, cable
operators and content delivery networks.

million in its second round of financing, led by Comcast Interactive Capital,

develop its monetization platform, and create more tools and services for
customers.

Andover, Mass. – Veveo, a developer of mobile video search technology, has raised $14 million in its second round of venture capital financing, from returning investors Matrix Partners, Norwest Venture Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners, MocoNews reported.
Andover, Mass.-based Veveo is set to launch its mobile video search service, vTap, next month, after spending several years on development.

Massachusetts-based Awareness also named John Bruce as its chief executive.
The company plans to release its enterprise social networking platform later this summer.

Westford, Mass. - Aylus Networks, a provider of multimedia sharing technology for mobile networks, has raised $15 million in its second round of venture capital, led by the company's original investors, Matrix Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners.
Founded in 2005, Westford, Mass.-based Aylus' technology allows wireless subscribers to share multimedia files during voice conversations.
The company has additional operations and research and development centers in Hong Kong, India, and Singapore.

Waltham, Mass. - Mobicious, a mobile content portal offering text-based services, music, videos and games, announced on Tuesday that it has secured $4 million in first round financing, from North Bridge Venture Partners and Carmel Ventures.
Waltham, Mass.-based Mobicious' service is currently in alpha mode in the U.S., and plans to expand internationally by the end of the year.
