2K Details First Sid Meier "Civilization" Title for Next-Gen Consoles

New York - Game publisher Take-Two Interactive's 2K label said this week that it plans to publish "Civilization Revolution," the first game in the franchise from developer Sid Meieir developed for next-generation consoles, in the spring of 2008. 2K's Firaxis Studio is working on versions of the game for next-generation consoles and handhelds.

2K Ships "Stronghold Legends" PC Game

New York - 2K, a unit of video game publisher Take-Two Interactive, on Tuesday shipped its "Stronghold Legends" PC title to retailers in North America and Europe. The latest installment in the real-time strategy game franchise was developed by Firefly Studios.

2K to Publish "BioShock" Exclusively for Xbox 360, PC

New York - 2K, a unit of video game publisher Take-Two Interactive, said on Thursday that its "BioShock" title will be published exclusively for Xbox 360 and the PC when it is released in 2007. The game is currently in development at 2K's Irrational Games studio.

2K Sports Gets Game Rights to World Baseball Classic

New York - 2K Sports, a unit of video game publisher Take-Two Interactive, said on Wednesday that the World Baseball Classic, a 16-nation tournament featuring the world's best players competing for their home countries, will be exclusively featured in its "Major League Baseball 2K6" game for PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Xbox, GameCube and PSP. The tournament will take place from March 3-20, with finals to be held at PETCO Park in San Diego.
