Amazon Completes Acquisition of AbeBooks

Seattle - Online retail giant Amazon.com (NASD: AMZN) announced on Tuesday that it has completed its acquisition of Canada-based AbeBooks, an online marketplace for used, rare and out-of-print books that lists over 110 million titles.

Online Bookseller Abebooks Acquires Spanish Bookseller IberoLibro.com

Victoria, B.C. -- Online bookseller Abebooks.com announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Spanish-language antiquarian bookseller Iberlibro.com, adding two million new titles to its 60 million book inventory. The announcement comes a week after Abebooks.com's signing of a partnership with Spain-based book store chain Casa del Libro, which added 250,000 titles to its online marketplace. Canada-based Abebooks said its Spanish-language book inventory has grown 400% since February to nearly 3 million titles.
