AC/DC Offers Full Downloadable Live Album in "Rock Band 2"

New York - Viacom's (NYSE: VIA) MTV Games said on Tuesday that veteran rock band AC/DC will offer a downloadable full album of live tracks in its upcoming "Rock Band 2" game. The AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack will include 18 tracks, making for a total of more than 99 minutes of gameplay for each instrument.

AC/DC to Sell New Album Exclusively at Wal-Mart Stores

New York - Veteran rock band AC/DC will sell its forthcoming Columbia Records album "Stiff Upper Lip" exclusively through retail giant Wal-Mart's (NYSE: WMT) stores, the Wall Street Journal reported. "Columbia's decision to sell a major new release at only one retail chain has the potential to alienate retailers left out," the Journal noted. Wal-Mart has done similar exclusive CD releases with other artists including the Eagles and Journey.

Verizon Signs Exclusive Mobile Downloads Deal With AC/DC

Basking Ridge, N.J. - Verizon Wireless said on Wednesday that it has entered into a deal with Aussie rock legends AC/DC, for the rights to offer the band's entire 18-album back catalog digitally. Consumers will be able to purchase and download AC/DC full albums at Verizon's V CAST Music online store, and then sync the tunes to their phones. The single "You Shook Me All Night Long" will be the only tune available as a full-track, over-the-air download, and will be used to promote the full-album downloads. Verizon will also soon offer video footage of the band on its V CAST Mobile TV service.
