NAVTEQ Acquires Location-based Mobile Ad Firm Acuity

Greenbelt, Md. - Acuity Mobile, a developer of mobile marketing technology, said that it has been acquired by NAVTEQ, a Chicago-based unit of Nokia (NYSE: NOK) that provides digital map, traffic and location data used in vehicle navigation systems.

Mobile Marketing Firm Acuity Receives Investment

Greenbelt, Md. - Acuity Mobile, a developer of targeted mobile marketing technology, said that it has received a $50,000 investment from the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED).

Disney Consumer Products Europe, a business segment of The Walt Disney Company that extends the Disney brand to merchandise, appointed Anne Gates to Executive Vice President and Managing Director. Gates will oversee all DCP merchandise licensing, retail, sales and marketing, and support functions for the region. Gates will also have coordinating responsibility for Disney Store, Europe to maximize the licensing business.
