Dulles, Va. - AOL parent Time Warner may be preparing to spin off its newly formed advertising unit through an initial public offering (IPO), TechCrunch reported on Thursday.

DailyCandy, a free daily e-mail targeted to women that discovers the latest in fashion, food, culture and fun, today announced the appointment of two people from the online media industry to its executive management team. Catherine Levene, formerly of TheFind.com and New York Times Digital, joins DailyCandy as Chief Operating Officer, and Alyson Racer, also previously with The New York Times, will become the company’s Vice President of Advertising Sales.

Dulles, Va. - Marking its second acquisition of an advertising company this week, AOL said on Wednesday that it has acquired a controlling interest in Germany's ADTECH AG, a provider of online advertising services.
