AFP also claimed that Google has ignored several requests to stop using the unauthorized content, Reuters said. The popular Google News website is known for gathering headlines and part of the first paragraph of news stories, occasionally linking pictures with headlines. The France-based news service, which does not provide its content for free, is asking the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to prevent Google News from displaying any AFP material in future. Google said it was still reviewing the lawsuit.
