Agence France-Presse Takes Stake in Scooplive

Paris - Agence France-Presse (AFP), the French newsgathering agency, announced on Wednesday that it has taken a minority stake in Scooplive, a service that lets users sell their pictures and videos on current news and receive a commission.

Agence France-Presse Taps Teletrax for Video Monitoring

Berlin - Agence France-Presse, the France-based newsgathering agency, said on Wednesday that it will use Medialink's Teletrax service to monitor broadcast usage of AFP video news content by its network and station clients. Teletrax maintains a network of detectors that monitors the television broadcasts of nearly 1,500 channels from more than 50 nations, including all 210 markets in the U.S.

ClipSyndicate to Offer Agence France-Press News Videos

New York - ClipSyndicate, an ad-supported video syndication service provided by New York-based Critical Mention, said on Wednesday that it has partnered with the Agence France-Press news organization to syndicate its AFPTV service to thousands of sites in its network. AFP launched AFPTV in 2001; online videos will be culled from the unit's network of 40 journalists in 20 production units around the world
