Las Vegas - The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) last night announced winners of the 11th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, with "Call of Duty 4," "BioShock" and "The Orange Box" each picking up four awards. Activision's (NASD: ATVI) "Call of Duty 4" won for Overall Game of the Year and Console Game of the Year, while "The Orange Box" from Valve/Electronic Arts (NASD: ERTS) took home the award for Computer Game of the Year. Take-Two Interactive's (NASD: TTWO) "BioShock" won various awards for art direction, music, sound design and story development. A full list of winners is available from a link below. Calabasas, Calif. - The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) has announced the nominees for its 10th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, which will be held next month in Las Vegas in connection with the D.I.C.E. Summit. Developer Epic Games' "Gears of War" garnered ten nominations -- including a nod for Overall Game of the Year -- a category where it is up against "Wii Sports" (Nintendo); "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" (Nintendo); "Guitar Hero 2" (Harmonix/Red Octane); and "Elder Scrolls IV" Oblivion (Bethesda Softworks). Calabasas, Calif. - The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) announced on Thursday that it is now accepting submissions for the 10th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, which recognize exceptional video games and developers. Past recipients have included developers Richard Garriott, Sid Meier and Wil Wright, and games such as "Civilization IV," "God of War" and "Guitar Hero." The AIAS is accepting submissions at Interactive.org through Dec. 8, 2006, with an awards ceremony hosted by comedian Jay Mohr to be held in Las Vegas in February.
