New York - MusicNet, the digital music provider that was originally launched by AOL, RealNetworks and major labels but is now owned by Baker Capital, on Thursday announced that it has renamed itself MediaNet Digital. "The expansion to MediaNet with the addition of premium digital content across all major forms of media is a natural extension to our successful music heritage," said president and CEO Alan McGlade. MediaNet provides licensed tracks to services including Yahoo Music, MTV's Urge, Virgin, HMV, Samsung and Microsoft's Zune.
