Alternative Distribution Alliance Promotes Wolk to President

New York - The Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA), a joint venture set up by Warner Music Group (NYSE: WMG) to distribute and manufacture records owned by independent record labels, announced that it has named Mitchell Wolk as its new president, replacing Andy Allen. Wolk was previously the company's executive vice president, and previously worked at RED Distribution. The ADA serves labels including Sub Pop, Beggars Banquet, Touch And Go, Matador, Merge, Barsuk, Domino, Saddle Creek, Thrill Jockey, and Secretly Canadian.

Epitaph Signs With ADA for Digital Distribution; Ends eMusic Deal

New York - Independent label Epitaph Records is moving its worldwide digital distribution to the Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA), which had previously offered only mobile content for the label, Billboard reported. The label will also end its relationship with digital music retailer eMusic when its contract expires next month.

Snocap to Power MySpace Song Stores for Sub Pop, Other Indie Labels

New York - Snocap, the provider of a digital music registry and direct online distribution services, announced on Thursday that it has signed deals to power online stores for independent record labels Sup Pop, New Line and Dangerbird, via the labels' U.S. distributor, the Alternative Distribution Alliance.
