IFC Films Made Available on Amazon Unbox

New York - Rainbow Media's IFC Films has announced a deal that will make its titles available through Amazon Unbox (NASD: AMZN), a service that downloads movies, TV shows and Web video content to PCs, TiVo set-top boxes and portable media players. Initial titles include "Y Tu Mama Tambien" and "After the Wedding."

Purchase, N.Y. - Pepsi (NYSE: PEP) and online retailer Amazon.com (NASD: AMZN) on Monday confirmed plans for their $1 billion giveaway, which includes redeemable points on four billion Pepsi products that consumers can spend on MP3 downloads, as well as Amazon Unbox TV downloads, electronics, apparel, DVDs and CDs. The promotion will be unveiled in advertising during the Super Bowl broadcast, and commence on Feb. 1.

AOL Abandons Video Store; Amazon to Power Paid Downloads

Dulles, Va. - AOL (NYSE: TW) on Monday officially shuttered its online video store, and will instead offer users the opportunity to purchase or rent videos from online retail giant Amazon.com's (NASD: AMZN) Unbox video store.

Viacom's CMT Posts Shows for Sale on iTunes, Other Retail Sites

Nashville - CMT, a unit of Viacom's MTV Networks, said on Monday that it has made a number of its series and specials available for purchase and download from digital retailers including iTunes, Amazon Unbox, AOL Video, Wal-Mart Video Downloads and Xbox Live Marketplace. The offerings include "Foxworthy's Big Night Out," "Trick My Truck" and "CMT Comedy Stage."

DMGI to Distribute TV, Movies on Amazon Unbox

Sacramento, Calif. - Digital Music Group, Inc. (DMGI), a digital distributor of independent music, TV and video, announced on Thursday that it has begun offering its film and video catalogs through the Amazon Unbox video download service. Sacramento, Calif.-based DMGI's library features over 4,000 hours of video, including episodes of "Gumby," "I Spy" and "the Mr. Bill Show."

TiVo Debuts Downloads of TV Shows, Movies From Amazon Unbox Store

Alviso, Calif. - TiVo announced on Wednesday the launch of Amazon Unbox on Tivo, giving TiVo users the ability to download movies and TV shows from the online retailer's new Unbox download store.
