New York - Rainbow Media's AMC cable TV network announced that it has acquired two movie-related websites, Filmcritic.com and Filmsite.org.

New York - Cablevision's AMC network has launched a new website that streams B-movies from the 1950s and '60s for free, TVWeek.com reports. The BMC (B Movie Classics) site currently features 27 full-length films, including "Dark Star," a student film by horror legend John Carpenter.

AMC to Post Episodes of "Mad Men" for Sale on iTunes Store

New York - Rainbow Media Holdings' AMC TV network said on Thursday that it will post episodes of its first original drama series, "Mad Men," for purchase and download on Apple's iTunes Store the day after they air. All 13 episodes will be available as a Season Pass for $24.99, or individually for $1.99 each.

Studios, Theater Owners Team on Digital Cinema Delivery System

Burbank, Calif. - Hollywood movie studios Warner Bros. and Universal Pictures announced on Tuesday that they have partnered with a number of theater owners on a joint venture that will deploy a digital cinema delivery system.

Denver - National CineMedia, a distributor of pre-feature digital programming and advertising in movie theaters, on Thursday announced its initial public offering, which raised $798 million and saw shares rise as much as 26% in their first day of trading.

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) appoints Dave Karraker as its Senior Director of Corporate Communications. Karraker will be charged with overseeing all North American public relations for SCEA. Karraker was previously North American Vice President of Corporate Communications for Allied Domecq Spirits and Wine.
