Sega Taps New Edge for Network-Connected Arcade Games

Los Angeles - Sega Amusements USA, the Japanese game developer's coin-operated arcade game unit in the Americas, announced on Wednesday an agreement with Washington-based New Edge Networks. Under the deal, New Edge will power the high-speed broadband connections for Sega's network-connected arcade titles. Sega will also bundle a business-grade DSL connection from New Edge as part of its ALL.Net online entertainment platform, which allows patrons to play titles like "Extreme Hunting 2: Tournament Edition" over a broadband network.

Hong Kong - Big Electronic Games, a manufacturer of home video game arcade machines, announced on Monday that it will manufacture a home arcade version of the popular "Golden Tee" golf game.
