Ashton Kutcher Becomes the First to Reach 1 Million Followers on Twitter

Los Angeles - Hollywood Actor and Producer Ashton Kutcher became the first person to reach one million followers on the mobile microblogging service Twitter. In doing so, Kutcher won a much-publicized duel with CNN to get to 1 million followers first. The hype around the service also reached new levels as TV-host and media mogul Oprah Winfrey sent out her first tweet on Friday.

Kutcher's Katalyst Media to Distribute Web Series via Slide

San Francisco - Slide, a developer of social media applications, and actor Ashton Kutcher's Katalyst Media production company, on Wednesday announced a partnership that will see Katalyst's new original Web series, "KatalystHQ," air exclusively on Slide's FunSpace. The show is a "fly-on-the-wall reality parody" about working in Kutcher's production office.

Los Angeles - Digg founder Kevin Rose and actor Ashton Kutcher have teamed up to co-host a Web-based reality show that will be shot on location at the Sundance Film Festival this month. "24 Hours at Sundance" will see four social media personalities compete to accomplish various scavenger hunt-styled missions in Park City, all the while streaming their progress live via the Qik mobile video streaming service.

Los Angeles - Katalyst Films, a production company co-founded by actor Ashton Kutcher, plans to launch an original online series through social media application developer Slide's platform in the coming months, PaidContent reports. Facebook users with Slide's FunSpace application will have access to the sponsored series, revenue from which will be split between the two companies.
