Denver - Associated Content, an online media firm that mixes professional and user-generated content, has raised $10 million in its second round of venture capital financing, led by Canaan Partners.

Denver, Colo. - Associated Content, an online and wireless publisher of user-created content, announced that it has raised $5.4 million in its first round of venture capital financing, led by SoftBank Capital. Colorado-based Associated Content has created an online publishing system that allows its stable of amateur content producers to combine text, photos, video and voice in their online entries. The platform combines the informational aspects of About.com with social networking and blogging features. The company will use the funds to grow its informational portal, attract additional media professionals, and further develop its proprietary publishing tools and platform.
