Video ID & Ad Placement Firm Auditude Gets $10.5 Million

Palo Alto, Calif. - Auditude, an online video management and advertising platform, announced on Wednesday that it has secured $10.5 million in new funding, led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from Greylock Partners.

MySpace Debuts Overlay Ads on Music Videos

Los Angeles - News Corp.'s (NYSE: NWS) MySpace has launched a new feature that lets advertisers place overlay ads on top of music videos, TechCrunch reported. Warner Music Group (NYSE: WMG) is among the early testers, placing ads to buy songs on Amazon on top of videos for artists including My Chemical Romance. The overlay ad feature, similar to one recently launched by YouTube, was created through MySpace's partnership with copyrighted content ID and management firm Auditude.

Los Angeles - News Corp.'s (NYSE: NWS) MySpace online social network announced on Monday that it has partnered with online video advertising company Auditude and Viacom's (NYSE: VIA) MTV Networks, to enable ads to be inserted in audience-uploaded videos on MySpace.
