BayTSP Taps NTT DATA to Resell Anti-piracy Services in Japan

Los Gatos, Calif. - BayTSP, a provider of intellectual property monitoring, enforcement, business intelligence and monetization services, announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with NTT DATA to resell the company's services in Japan. "We've seen tremendous interest from content owners and distributors across Asia who want better control over how and where their content appears online, to understand how consumers are interacting with it and identify monetization opportunities," said BayTSP CEO Mark Ishikawa.

Super Bowl Ads Viewed More Than 28 Million Times Online

Los Gatos, Calif. - Commercials aired during Super Bowl XLIII have been watched online more than 28 million times since Sunday, with one ad banned from broadcast making the top 20 most popular list, according to a new report from BayTSP.

BayTSP Signs Five Movie Studios for its Anti-Piracy Services

Los Gatos, Calif. - BayTSP, a provider of online anti-piracy services, announced on Monday that five Hollywood movie studios are now using its Content Authentication Platform to identify their content on user-generated content and other video hosting sites. The company said the service scans 1.7 million minutes of video uploaded to such sites daily, and has amassed an index of 1.6 billion minutes of previously uploaded video. BayTSP also provides measurement and monetization systems to track viewership and allow for the serving of ads with video clips.

Google Seeks BayTSP Records in $1 Billion Viacom Suit

San Jose, Calif. - Google (NASD: GOOG) has demanded records from anti-piracy firm BayTSP as part of its defense against the $1 billion copyright infringement lawsuit filed by Viacom (NYSE: VIA) over its YouTube site, MarketWatch reported. Google believes the documents will refute Viacom's argument that it is unable to police its own content on YouTube.

BayTSP Using Humans to Aid Web Copyright Filtering System

Los Gatos, Calif. - BayTSP, a provider of online copyright monitoring and enforcement services for the entertainment industry, this week announced the launch of a platform that lets content owners add digital fingerprinting and watermarking technologies to their properties. The company says that five TV and movie studio clients -- including Viacom -- are currently paying as much as $500,000 a month for its services. The Wall Street Journal reported that BayTSP has hired more than 20 analysts, starting at $11/hour, to search YouTube and other sites for infringing videos, and send takedown notices; the company now serves more than a million such notices each month.
