Fox Entertainment Group Acquires Spirituality Site Beliefnet

Los Angeles - News Corp.'s (NYSE: NWS) Fox Entertainment Group announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Beliefnet, an online religion and spirituality community site. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

AOL veteran Mike Rich has been named to the position of Vice President/General Manager, AOL Music, AOL Radio, Moviefone.com and AOL Television beginning this week. In this role, Rich will be responsible for the programming, products and overall business strategies for these four central entertainment websites. He will report to Bill Wilson, Senior Vice President, Programming, and will continue to be based in New York. Most recently as Vice President, AOL Programming Products and Operations, Rich led the efforts to enhance AOL’s publishing platforms enabling and broadening AOL’s Web 2.0 programming experiences.
