Video-Sharing Site GoFish Terminates Acquisition of Bolt Media

New York, N.Y. - GoFish, a San Francisco-based video sharing site, on Thursday called off its planned $30 million acquisition of New York-based Bolt Media, after Bolt was unable to finalize a settlement in a copyright infringement lawsuit.

San Francisco - Video-sharing site GoFish announced on Wednesday that it has licensed copyright filtering and identification from Audible Magic for its site. The company joins a roster of recent Audible Magic customer additions that includes YouTube and MySpace. San Francisco-based GoFish recently acquired youth-oriented social networking site Bolt Media. "This agreement also will assure our strategic content partners and advertisers that GoFish is committed to protecting the rights of artists around the world," said GoFish co-founder and CEO Michael Downing.
