Redwood City, Calif. - Electronic Arts announced on Tuesday that it has shipped its "Fight Night Round 3" title for PlayStation 3 to retailers. Developed by EA Canada, the game is also available for mobile phones.

"The Contender" Cast Member Launches Social Network for Boxing

St. Petersburg, Fla. - A cast member from NBC's reality TV boxing series "The Contender" has launched his own social networking site devoted to professional and amateur boxers, and boxing fans. Designed by In Touch Media Group, "Contender" first season cast member Joey Gilbert's Fight Club Online service allows fighters to upload footage of their training and sparring sessions, and maintain their own blogs. Gilbert said he is in discussions with several world-class fighters about joining the service.

Showtime Offers Championship Boxing Match Download on iTunes

New York - CBS Corporation's Showtime Networks announced on Friday that it has made its first Showtime Championship Boxing match available for purchase and download from Apple's iTunes Store. The March 4 world title unification bout between IBF/IBO super middleweight champion Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy and WBO champ Joe Calzaghe is now available in its entirety for $1.99.
