Ubisoft Wins $13.2M in Bratz Doll Game License Dispute

Los Angeles - France-based video game publisher Ubisoft has won a $13.2 million copyright and trademark infringement arbitration judgment against MGA Entertainment, owner of the Bratz doll franchise, Ubisoft attorneys Greenberg Glusker said in a statement.

Geffen Records Seeks Song Submissions for "Bratz" Movie Soundtrack

Santa Monica, Calif. - Universal Music Group's Geffen Records announced on Tuesday that it is accepting song submissions from unsigned artists for potential placement on the soundtrack to the upcoming film "Bratz" from Lionsgate. A&R executives at Geffen will review songs forwarded from today through May 15 for the soundtrack, which is set for release on July 31.

THQ Ships "Bratz Forever Diamondz" to Retailers

Agoura Hills, Calif. - Video game publisher THQ on Monday shipped its "Bratz Forever Diamondz" title for PlayStation 2, GameCube and Nintendo DS. The game is based on MGA Entertainment's Bratz line of fashion dolls, and a new DVD movie slated for release on Sept. 26. The title is the second game THQ has developed as part of an exclusive agreement with MGA.

"Bratz" Creators MGA Games to Debut "Miuchiz" Handheld Games

Los Angeles - MGA Games, the consumer entertainment products company that created the Bratz line of children's toys, on Tuesday introduced a new toy line, Miuchiz, which consist of digital characters that players can control via an electronic handheld unit both online and offline.

MGA, Ztar Mobile Launch "Bratz"-branded Mobile Phone

Los Angeles - MGA Entertainment, maker of the popular Bratz fashion dolls and accessories, on Thursday shipped its Bratz-branded mobile phone to Wal-Mart retail locations. The $69 white and pink Sony Ericsson T290 handsets feature Bratz imagery, and come loaded with Bratz wallpapers, voice ringtones and screen savers. The company partnered with Ztar Mobile to offer 50 minutes of pre-paid airtime, renewable through a Bratz Mobile private branded wireless service.
