Authored by Jay Baage on July 20, 2006 - 8:59am.
BobbyBadfingersHow about this guy? If you did not catch “America’s Got Talent” on NBC yesterday, I’ll fill you in: Bobby Badfingers, born Bob von Merta, is a novelty performer whose claim to fame is that he can snap his fingers really, really fast. His act is basically him snapping his fingers and doing a little dance routine. Sounds bad? Yes, I know. But take a look at this clip. Bobby is something else. All three judges loved him, including Hasselhoff and that cranky Brittish fellow. And he is gathering buzz online. Just his name, “Bobby Badfingers". Genious.

Buzz Watch: Beware of Pre-buzz Buzz

Authored by Jay Baage on July 19, 2006 - 10:34am.
Studio60   Check out this great article in Wednesday's LA Times about how the Internet has given people access to Big Media content before it is even in production. This kind of "pre-buzz" buzz, that the media companies do not control, is changing the dynamics of selling for example new network TV shows to advertisers. Buzz Watch: Tommy Lee Rocks on the Internet

Authored by Jay Baage on July 10, 2006 - 10:28am.
The TV ratings are in for the summer so far. Those who belived that the end of reality and talant competitions were over – think again. Led by the two hits of the summer, “America's Got Talent” and “So You Think You Can Dance”, Fox is the winner. CBS' “Rock Star: Supernova” was not so super at a third-place in the ratings for its time slot. However, if you look at the Buzz online, don’t count out the show just yet: It has been number one in the searches for TV shows on Yahoo and Tommy Lee is an old online favorite. A good website hoted by MSN does not hurt its chances either.
