Verizon Mobile TV Service to Offer 24 Full College Bowl Games

Basking Ridge, N.J. - Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with Qualcomm's (NASD: QCOM) MediaFLO USA to offer 24 full-length college football bowl games to its V CAST mobile TV service.

CBS Mobile Taps Medio Systems for Mobile Search, Advertising

San Francisco - CBS Mobile said that it has tapped Medio Systems to add search capabilities, and search-enabled advertising to its CBS Mobile websites. Seattle-based Medio will provide search functionality on CBS Sports Mobile, CBS Mobile News and CW Mobile, also expanding the range of advertising options on the sites, with relevant ads appearing adjacent to search results.

Verizon to Offer Live Mobile TV Stream of CBS' "Big Brother 8"

Los Angeles - Verizon Wireless said on Friday that it partnered with CBS Mobile and Qualcomm's MediaFLO USA to stream live footage 24-7 from the set of the reality TV series "Big Brother 8" to cell phones. The real-time live feed will be offered from Aug. 19 through the Sept. 18 finale of the show to V CAST Mobile TV subscribers.

Los Angeles - CBS Corporation, which yesterday announced the formation of a new wireless division, CBS Mobile, on Thursday launched three new mobile websites, including a mobile store that will sell games, video and ringtones.

New York - CBS Corporation announced on Wednesday the formation of CBS Mobile, a new wireless entertainment division within CBS Interactive that will build the company's mobile operation across its various properties, which include CBS, the CW, Showtime Networks, CSTV and Simon & Schuster.
