Lauderdale, Fla. - CBS SportsLine on Tuesday announced the launch of its NCAA March Madness on Demand service, which will again this year offer free online streaming of all 56 games from the early rounds of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship broadcast by CBS Sports. Last year, the company served over 19 million streams. This year's service will feature a 50% larger video screen, and also for the first time offer live audio streaming of Westwood One's radio broadcasts of the tournament's first two rounds. A new, live halftime show produced for MMOD, sponsored by AT&T, will feature SportsLine's Jason Horowitz paired with a college coach. Miami - The National Football League (NFL) has opted to take over the production of its NFL.com website from CBS SportsLine, ending a six-year relationship, the Miami Herald reported. ''It was a great run with SportsLine, but we felt it was time to look long term," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told the Herald. The decision not to renew Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based SportsLine's contract was made at a league owners' meeting in New Orleans on Monday.

Bedford, Mass. - CBS Digital Media on Wednesday launched a new sports alerts service that sends breaking news, headlines and fantasy updates -- including video and pictures -- to subscribers' cell phones. CBS SportsLine To Go will cover all major sports and be available for 99 cents per month.

Lauderdale, Fla. - CBS SportsLine announced on Monday that its free NCAA March Madness on Demand service has served over 14 million streams of live video and recorded over four million visitors in the first four days of the 2006 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship. CBS says it believes the traffic far surpasses the previous record for viewing of a live Internet event, set by NASA's online coverage of the launch and landing of Space Shuttle Discovery, which drew more than 2.6 million visitors.
